NETMASTER
Step inside a network. Follow the packet. Find the fault.
From the idea to the “I get it”.
A public preview of your learning journey. The complete course is in development.

Step inside a network. Follow the packet. Find the fault.

DNS resolves correctly, but HTTPS fails. What has been proved?
03Practise+
Follow one packet.
04Explain+
DNS resolution gives an address. Routing, transport, TLS and application health still require their own evidence.
Layeratek learning is independent. A completion certificate, when available, is not university credit or external professional accreditation.
A closer look inside.
Digital learning. Something you can actually try.
- 01
Start with a name.
DNS translates a hostname into an IP address. A successful lookup tells you where to send the request; it does not prove the website is healthy.
- 02
Choose the next hop.
Your laptop compares the destination with its local subnet. A remote destination goes to the default gateway. The router chooses the next hop from its routing table.
- 03
Reach the right service.
TCP establishes a transport connection. HTTPS adds encryption and server authentication. Each layer answers a different question about delivery.
Every connection tells a story. Send a packet to follow it.
Follow one packet.
Your laptop wants to reach a website. Trace the decisions that get it there.

Why learn this?
Networking becomes easier to reason about when you can see how each decision affects the next.
Understand the idea.

Apply your judgment.
Follow one packet. Explore the evidence and explain your next step.
Connect it to practice.
